The social network market gained another serious competitor today, as Google launched its latest online service – to go head-to-head with Facebook.

After a three month testing period, “Google Plus” is now open to the public – but it remains to be seen whether the search engine giant will get a good response, or whether it has the potential to challenge established sites like Facebook.
