The new generation of young indigenous people are more likely to finish Year 12, have their health checked regularly and be in touch with their culture  according to a report by the Australian Institute for Health and Welfare. However the indicators for mental health, stress and unemployment remain, and the reports’ authors say policy changes are urgently needed.
