The Wire

As part of the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Chinese-American media artist Zhang Ga is bringing together people from around the world in his global internet art project, The Peoples’ Portrait. Passers-by take a snapshot in a kiosk and within seconds the image is transmitted in real time between large video screens located in Adelaide, Times Square in New York, Seoul, Beijing and Linz in Austria, capturing faces in an immediate and collective project.
