How can we get young people to take up jobs on the land? With just nine universities from around Australia currently offering agriculture courses, compared to 23 universities ten years ago, this is a question that many within the agriculture industry are currently asking.

Professor Iain Young is Head of the Environmental and Rural Science School at New England University and President of the Deans of Agriculture of Australia.He explained why he believes fewer young people are choosing a career in agriculture.
