Indigenous communities from the Torres Strait, The Gulf and the Nothern Territory are working together to clear Australia’s waterways of ghostnets. These nets, abandoned by Australian and international fishing boats, float along capturing marine life indiscriminately. The threat they pose is not only environmental, but cultural as well.
