Last Friday, the 4th of November, the Manggan: gather, gathers, gathering exhibition opened at the South Australian Museum.

The collection of Indigenous objects came from artists at Girringun, an Aboriginal Art Centre located in far north Queensland between Townsville and Cairns.

Within the exhibition is the Bagu, a traditional tool of fire with great significance to the Indigenous peoples of rainforest Queensland.

The exhibition runs until the end of January.
