Genuine refugees rejected by Australian government

The federal government has announced new changes to immigration regulations which will see asylum seekers who are registered with the United Nations in Indonesia no longer eligible for resettlement in Australia from July first. The government wants people to apply for asylum from countries of first asylum, and not move to countries like Indonesia. Scott Morrison told the ABC that the government is trying to “take the sugar off the table”
