G7 divests from fossil fuels – Australia doesn’t budge

Environmentalists and conservation groups are vocal about how Australia needs to raise its game on action against climate change. The overnight agreement by the G7 leading industrial nations to finally start to phase out fossil fuel use is another jab at our own government that urgent action is needed to protect our communities from global warming. The Australian Conservation Foundation welcomes the G7 decision, but urges the government learn by example and to prioritise climate change in future policy making.
