G 21 is the alliance of five municipalities working on long term regional planning for the area of Geelong. A partnership between Local Council with Indigenous Community has been formalised in Victoria by a Regional Statement of Commitment. Community development officer with the Geelong Council Steve Singline is encouraged by this formal process to acknolwedge the Warathang Aboriginal Corporation. Gold Plain Mayor David Cotsell is optimistic about the statement and impact it will have. All parties are hopeful that other councils will follow their lead.
