Full-time job rate plummets by biggest monthly drop since 1991

Unemployment in Australia has soared to a four-year high, with official job figures today revealing a jump in the jobless rate from 4.8 per cent to 5.2 oer cent in February. More alarmingly however, the figures revealed the biggest monthy drop in full-time jobs since 1991. The Wire’s Alice Monfries speaks with Curtain University’s Professor of Economic Policy Peter Kenyon about the gloomy effects the economic downturn is beginning to have on the country’s employment.
