War veterans have incredible stories of resilience and endurance.

In 2012, veteran Curtis McGrath’s (OAM) life changed forever when he lost both of his legs from an improvised explosive device while Serving as an Australian Army combat engineer in Afghanistan.

After making a recovery, he decided to become a paracanoeist and has competed internationally in this sport, and more recently at the Paralympics in France this year.
