There’s been plenty of Aboriginal activism over the years, but very little political presence – but it looks like all of that is about to change. The First Nations Political party is in its final stages of registration, and is expected to become official next month. If all goes to plan the party will be the first in Australia’s history to represent Indigenous Australians with members from every state and territory.
