The government released it’s long overdue Agricultural Competitiveness White Paper today. It’s a $4 billion package which includes a new ACCC Commissioner dedicated to agriculture, reducing red tape, improved country of origin labelling, some new tax deductions for farmers and a $500 million National Water Infrastructure Fund. But climate change was largely missing from the paper and Labor says much of the money is not new.
