It’s estimated 20,000 children were kidnapped by Uganda’s Lord’s Resistance Army over the past 20 years. But after the army and the Ugandan Government signed a treaty in August last year, ChildFund’s Australian CEO, Nigel Spence, says the situation’s improved and forced abductions appear to have ceased. He explains to Annie Hastwell why the rebel army targeted innocent children.
