If you have ever beaten yourself up over being forgetful, it might be time to give yourself a break. Researchers have found a link between working memory capacity and brain size. Working memory is the ability to store and manipulate information over a short period of time. For example, if you have good working memory you may be able to remember a phone number out of order.

By looking at an individual’s ability to remember a set of images, they found that those with a large visual cortex were able to hold more information than those with a small visual cortex.
