An announcement by the NSW government, that the childcare sector will receive five billion dollars over the next ten years to help families secure affordable access to childcare has come as a welcome surprise.

The aim of the package will be to boost childcare supply and affordability, something that has long been sought after for women returning to work.

Amanda Rose, Founder of Small Business Women Australia and Western Women Sydney, spoke with Melanie Scott about what this ultimately means for women returning to the workforce.
