The ban on the takeaway sale of mid and full strength alcohol in the town of Fitzroy Crossing in WA has been in place since the start of October this year and Aboriginal leader June Oscar who pushed for the ban says it has had a positive affect on the town. However, Patrick Green, CEO of Leedal which owns the Crossing Inn and the Town supermarket claims the ban has led to an increase in the use of emergency food and it has left families vulnerable.
