The Australian Fashion Week will begin next week, and this year, Yorta Yorta man Rhys Ripper is expected to make a splash.

The Fashion Designer is working with his colleagues to prepare an Indigenous Fashion project, which will champion First Nations fashion and representation at the event. He’s also mentoring Indigenous stylists under the ‘Mob in Fashion’ project.

Rhys Ripper hopes that this representation is a sign that there will be more diversity into the sector, and that First Nation people can get more attention for the talents that they have.
