A Larrakia man has quit from a public service role in the Northern Territory following the government’s decision to lock up kids as young as 10.

It was one of Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro’s election promises earlier this year.

Because of this action, Dr Richard Fejo has resigned as chair of the Darwin Waterfront tourist precinct in protest against lowering the age of criminal responsibility.

National Indigenous Radio Service’s reporter Micah Kickett started asking Dr Fejo the main reasons he quit his position.
