Finding new homes for Guantanamo Bay prisoners

An interesting dilemma has developed following President Obama’s pledge to close Guantánamo Bay. What should happen to the prisoners who have nowhere to go? This question is of special importance to the international Uighur population. Seventeen Uighur prisoners at Guantanamo Bay have been incarcerated for 7 years but are no longer considered to be enemy combatants. Finally they may have found a home.
