“A nation ruptured by a deep racial divide and contested history” – this is the description UK independent film maker Ishmahil Blagrove gave his latest documentary “This is our Country Too.” But he’s not talking about South Africa or the United States. He’s talking about Australia. Starting with the Northern Territory Intervention, the film looks at Australia’s past treatment of indigenous people, and the continuing struggle for equality. The film, released overseas in June this year, is making it’s Australian debut tomorrow night.
