Fiji army reacts aggressively to Aussie helicopter crash

For weeks now the balance of power in Fiji between the government and the army has remained on a knife edge. Yesterday New Zealand foreign Minister Winston Peters stepped carefully into the situation ….brokering the first meeting between prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and Commodore Voreqe Bainamarama. Bainarama apparently behaved with bravado during the meeting. Meanwhile back in Fiji the crash of the Australian Blackhawk helicopter prompted the Fijian army to put on an aggressive show of firepower, as Selwyn Manning from New Zealand alternative news website SCOOP told Peter Godfrey.
