Feminism & Fundamentalism
Yesterday on The Wire we heard the first part of an interview with visiting Canadian feminist Judy Rebick. She’s a regular broadcaster for Canada’s public station, the CBC, and for years co-hosted a daily tv show called ‘Face-off’: a half-hour debate between the left and right on current events. Former President of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, Judy Rebick is best known for her commentary on women and alternatives to economic rationalism in Canada. She’s in Australia for the Brisbane Social Forum and is currently in Sydney as a part of her lecture tour. Cinnamon Nippard spoke to Judy Rebick about the connection between corporate globalisation and fundamentalism in relation to the so-called “War on Terror”.
