A long-enjoyed convenience for Australian parents is facing its greatest challenge yet. A canteen advocacy group is calling for a national roundtable to save school canteens and tuck shops as more continue too close.

The Federation of Canteens in Schools has issued the call for a national round table to save school canteens and tuck shops.

National Radio News reporter Callum Sayer asked Federation Chairperson and CEO of Nutrition Australia ACT Leanne Elliston why canteens are shutting down.
