The ACT government are set to pass the same-sex marriage bill this month. Despite it being big news, the Federal Government has said it will challenge the bill in the High Courtif it is passed. This is despite a new report released concluding that States and Territories in Australia should be autonomous in passing same-sex marriage bills without compromising the Federal marriage Act.
