The Federal Government today rushed legislation into parliament than bans same-sex marriage and international adoption. Their only concession to the gay and lesbian community was access to their partner’s superannuation. Somali Cerise from the Equal Rights Network told Jay Lamey that the government is legislating discrimination. She says homophobia will not prove a vote-winner and that children raised by same-sex couples grow up to be well-adjusted adults.
