This morning an alliance of environment organizations including Greenpeace, the Boomerang Alliance, and Clean Up Australia gathered in North Sydney to deliver Coca Cola related rubbish to the Coca Cola-Amatil Headquarters. The alliance was protesting Coke’s legal action against the Northern Territory’s cash for containers recycling program. Last year The Northern Territory attempted to introduce a container deposit scheme similar to the one that has been running in South Australia for more than thirty years.
