Women left in debilitating pain after faulty trans-vaginal mesh implants have won a landmark court case, after multinational company Johnson and Johnson failed to disclose the dangers of the product.

1350 women joined the lawsuit after complaints of chronic pain, repeat infections and leg numbness.

Federal court justice Anna Katzmann called the company ‘negligent’as she handed down the verdict.

Details of the mass payout to victims will be realised in the new year.
