Statistics show that if you’re on a non-urban indigenous Australian female you’re four times more likely to get beaten up by your husband. To make matters worse, cultural differences and practicial diffuculties often put help beyond reach. Today a Federal enquiry into the access of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to legal services has been conducting hearings in Alice Springs.
