According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, around 1.4 million Australian adults have experienced violence from a family member.

Victims are often trapped in a vicious cycle, and having access to the right support services can be crucial to finding a way out.

Shannon Althouse is a Coach at the Arrernte Community Boxing Academy in Alice Springs and is using his experience with facing family abuse and domestic violence, to mentor younger generations in the community.
