Environmental organisations win against NSW Forestry in court

This week, an environment organisation has won a court case to lodge a civil case against a government corporation regarding their native logging assessments.

The New South Wales Forestry Corporation had asserted the community could not challenge its native forestry operations, but the High Court of Australia overturned the convention.

It means community organisations can force the Forestry Corporation to comply with the laws to protect the environment.
