Environmental groups push clean energy economics

Renewable energy has always been seen as a clean, yet extremely expensive alternative to fossil fuels. However a report released today by a consortium of environment groups says the Australian economy would only benefit from the introduction of cleaner, greener energy. If the report’s recommendations were implemented, its authors say thousands of jobs would be created, and billions of dollars would be invested in the country, and greenhouse gas emissions would fall sharply. But not everyone agrees with these rosey predictions.
