The Coalition Government today announced their plan to cap energy prices. Prime Minister Scott Morrison & Energy Minister Angus Taylor said they would be asking the Australian Energy Regulator to introduce a default market offer on energy prices for households & small businesses.

They say this will take financial stress off of struggling families and businesses.

But critics warn that this move does little to deal with the uncertainty in the energy market and does nothing to combat Climate Change.
