NSW Minister Verity Firth of the Climate Change, Environment and Water Department released a report on the detrimental effects of introduced species on the State’s native wildlife, further reinforcing concerns that Australia’s native flora and fauna are being threatened by the destructive newcomers. With feral cats and foxes leading the pack as the nation’s worst killers, the Wildlife Protection Association of Australia fears that many of our native animals and plants are well on their way to extinction.
