This year’s theme for the International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD) is all about seeing the ability in disability. This is about celebrating the achievements and contributions of disabled Australians by promoting, acknowledging and sharing messages and stories of awareness, inclusion and acceptance.

Reflecting that message of diversity intertwining equality, Life Without Barriers (LWB) has launched a national campaign called Employment Without Barriers to challenge and eradicate ableist attitudes, rhetoric, and ideologies by employers through improving their recruitment practices and frameworks as well as opening doors for a more equitable, accessible and inclusive workplace.
