Emergency department doctors and nurses are put under a lot of pressure during work normally but it is not just the strain of life and death situations that has a big impact on them.

A new survey conducted by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) has found that more than a third of emergency doctors experience workplace bullying and harassment too.

The ACEM plans to discuss with members to create and publish an action plan by the end of November in the hopes to address the findings in the report and create a safer workplace for all emergency physicians involved.
