Wiradjuri ballerina Ella Havelka made history as the first Aboriginal dancer to join the Australian Ballet in 2012.
Now she’s making history again in the form of a new documentary named Ella, which chronicles the remarkable story of her lifelong love of dance; from her dance lessons in the rural town of Dubbo, to her time in the nationally-famous Bangarra Dance Theatre and her move to the stage of the Australian Ballet.
Ella has just launched as part of the Melbourne International Film Festival.
