Market and research techniques such as focus groups seem to be a growing trend in both parties. The Labor Party in particular seems to be shaping policy by checking the opinion of the electorate first It’s gotten to the point where they’re being criticised for being too afraid to take risks with their policies. Could the reliance on focus groups backfire, with an electorate confused by lack of leadership?
