Tonight at 8pm the electoral roll will be closed for first time voters in the Federal Election on the 21st August. For weeks, the Electoral Commission has been reminding first time voters to get their name on the roll before tonight’s cut off. But despite this there are still likely to be more than one million people who won’t get to vote because their names aren’t on the list.
