Technological developments are making life harder for one fifth of the Australian population, according to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission. These overlooked consumers consist of people with disabilities and elderly citizens who have been left behind by new product designs that fail to cater for those who are less able-bodied. The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission recently released a report calling for attention and awareness of the lack of accessibility and usability in product designs.
