A recent conference in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, called Education Without Borders, invited students from around the world to help impoverished nations, not by giving food and shelter, but education. Adelaide University Health and Social Policy student Linty McDonald was one of a select few who had to jump a few hoops to get there. She explains how the inspirational conference sparked her to do more humanitarian work.
