Dr Mohammed Haneef was granted bail in Brisbane this morning, after he was charged by the Australian Federal Police over the weekend. The Gold Coast doctor had been held for two weeks without charge, following his arrest at Brisbane International Airport in connection to the recent terror incidents in the UK. But even if he can raise the 10 thousand dollar surety imposed by a Brisbane Magistrate’s court, he won’t walk free, after the federal government cancelled his visa.
