A reconciliation group has asked Australians concerned about Indigenous issues to vote for anyone but John Howard at the next election. National president of Australians for Native Titile and Reconciliation, or ANTaR, Phil Glendenning said the coalition government’s performance on Indigenous affairs is very poor at every level. Although ANTaR is not politically aligned, its 2004 election kit report card calls for voters concerned about the government’s response to Indigenous issues to take a stand. Mr Glendenning highlighted health and the abolition of ATSIC as key areas where the Howard Government has failed.
