The federal parliament is currently looking into ways policy can be changed to better respond to victims of domestic violence. One aspect of domestic violence that is little discussed is ‘reproductive coercion’ where partners attempt to control women’s access to contraceptives and abortion in order to keep them in an abusive relationship.
