Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced a national “dob in a dealer” hotline campaign in August, calling for roadside drug testing to tackle what he calls an ice epidemic. The campaign is a $one million extension of the Crime Stoppers Victoria campaign where community members can anonymously “dob in” people who are dealing illegal drugs. But how effective will these measures be in tackling what the Prime Minister describes as the scourge of ice?
