Well known Human Rights advocate and philanthropist, Julian Burnside QC will deliver the Hawke Centres 2008 International Human Rights day address in Adelaide tonight. He will be calling for a bill of rights and has said that the time has passed when we can safely assume that parliament would never pass laws which offended decent values. The Wire caught up with him as short time ago and asked exactly when that time had passed.
