Disability Reporting Handbook launched for Australian media

This week, Media Diversity Australia launched their Disability Reporting Handbook in Brisbane, which is a resource for journalists and communications specialists to understand how to be more inclusive towards people with disabilities.

While we see more reports about issues affecting people with disabilities in the media, usually journalists are afraid of asking them about disabilities, or don’t know how to write about them. The Disability Reporting Handbook took 3 years to be produced.
