Advocates for disabled people have come out in support of the Labor Party’s call for a Royal Commission into violence against disabled people.

They say past inquiries have been unable to properly investigate the harm done to disabled people.

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten made the call yesterday, about two months after a Greens motion for a Royal Commission was voted down by the government and the Labor party.
