Queensland health officials have been accused of failing to control the mosquito-borne disease, dengue fever, after the death of an elderly Cairns woman this week, and a total of 600 people becoming infected in the north of the state. Doctor Craig Williams from the University of South Australia is part of a research group who will be travelling to the area, so help work out solutions to the outbreak. He told The Wire that the severity of the disease is growing because of more people travelling in and out of the region.
