King Gyanendra of Nepal has agreed to restore the Nepalese parliament after more than two weeks of protests across the country. The move means that the direct powers seized by the king in February 2003 will come to an end. Spokesman for the Melbourne Solidarity Group for Democratic Nepal Rajan Bhattachan spoke about the way the uprising began in and where it’s leading Nepal.
